came across a poem i really like the other day and thought i’ll share~
🌅 SUNSET IN CATALONIA 🌅
We played hide and seek in bustling streets.
Dizzy on a pitcher of daiquiri for four.
Amongst a flock of strangers I had never felt so seen.
On a rosy boulevard that led straight to the harbour.
Every minute the universe was stealing my fulfilled dream.
As I captured the lovers, cream and amber.
Carpaccio and candy aroma in the boqueria alley.
The breeze was like silk scarf caressing against my skin.
And later an angel of thine dropped us at a strange juncture.
He drove past and I saw Columbus staring at the marina.
The sun bled vermilion into the sky like a live art show.
Seagulls gathered for one last dance at the coast.
But as I turned around to look for what I hadn't found.
I recognised a chunk of my heart was gone far too long.
